Solar Cell- An Overview

Solar Energy is the conversation of sunlight into electricity. it is renewable  energy source, available every day in day light. A Solar Cell is also called photovoltaic cell, it is an electrical device that converts energy of sunlight directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect.  The first solar cell was invented by Charles Fritts within the 1880s. A single solar cell generate only 0.5 ~0.6 Volt, so in solar panel manufacturing  solar cell connected in series to produce required output voltage. Solar Cell Type of Solar panel 1. Monocrystalline solar panel 2. Polycrystalline solar panel     Monocrystalline solar panel made of single crystal of pure silicon  . Polycrystalline solar panel made of multi crystal of pure silicon .   Advantage of Solar Panel  Solar energy pollute far less compared to other source of energy generation. Maintenance free. Why Transformer rating is in KVA, Not In KW?

In Transformer , Copper losses depends on current which passes through its winding while Iron losses depends on voltage, and not depends on a phase angle between current and voltage,it is independent of load power factor, that's why transformer rating is in KVA.
